RETURNS & REFUNDS

RETURNS/EXCHANGES FOR MADE-TO-ORDER ITEMS:  Made-to-order items are created for the size you give to us when you check out.  The size is determined by the size chart and information in that size chart about how to choose your correct size. When we created your item, it was created with this information.  There are several places that reiterate to NOT order by store-bought size or age and to use the size chart to choose your size.  Our designs are also tested and sent out to models with measurements that fall into each size range.  If your item doesn't fit, it's usually because the child was not measured before ordering.

Before any returns for sizing are authorized, I will ask for photos of the child in the  item showing where it does not fit correctly and I will also ask for your child's correct measurement(s).  

If any other alterations were done to the design, such as lengthening or shortening, the item will not be able to be resold, therefore a return will not be allowed as I will not be able to resell it.  

TIKI KIDS is a small batch handmade shop.  There is no warehouse holding extra fabric to remake items with or extra sizes of items for exchanges.

That being said, it is VERY IMPORTANT that you correctly measure for each item you order and that you use the measurement charts in the photos of the item you are purchasing.  DO NOT ORDER THE SIZE YOU WOULD WEAR WHEN PURCHASING FROM A STORE.  Sewing patterns do not use the same sizing.  

Please be aware that most of the items in my store have been ordered and created over and over.  Our men's Luau Shirt, for example, has been ordered, created, and shipped hundreds of times with the only sizing issues that have been reported being due to the customer not measuring.  

Should you have a problem with your item, please contact me...there may be something we can do to help.  An alteration may be available or a possible remake if we still have fabric available.  There is a cost for these options, so please make sure you measure correctly.

Damages and issues:  Since each item we are sending you just came off of a sewing machine and has been handled many times during creation, plus it has been given a final press, then folded and packed, we can guarantee that there is no damage.  During this process you items are also photographed to ensure that they are leaving our shop undamaged and that the sizing and length is correct.  We are not responsible for items damaged in transit.

Mistakes:  Although I have an abundance of checks and balances to ensure that I don't make mistakes, unfortunately there is that occasion that I make the wrong size or use the wrong fabric.  Please contact me if you think this has happened to you and I will do whatever I can to make it right.

Refunds:  In the rare occasion that a refund is approved, you’ll be automatically refunded via your original payment method once we receive the item back in it's original condition.  Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
